A Hometown Health Experience
About Us
Matthew & Anna Wagner
Founders of Grand Prairie Health
We are so thankful to be finally getting back to our roots on the prairie.
Both proud alumni of Carlisle schools, we tied the knot in 2013 and are now blessed with three wonderful children — Lily Catherine, Avery, and Paul.
When we’re not at work, you’ll find us chasing our lively (and mostly clothed) kids in the backyard or cruising the neighborhood on our golf cart in the evenings.
Anna enjoys reading, going on walks, and sipping iced coffee — especially when surrounded by her family.
Matthew finds joy in family adventures, gardening, photography, and rooting on the Bison.
We love our church family here in Carlisle and feel that it is a wonderful place to serve. Our shared faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of our marriage and the lens through which we view the world.
The town of Carlisle has been very good to us through the years, and we are blessed for the opportunity to serve our community through medicine. We're honored to give back to a place that has given us so much.
What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) operates differently than the traditional insurance model.
In DPC, patients pay their doctor directly in the form of a monthly membership fee, which covers a wide range of primary care services. Further, patients are not charged a copay when they need to see their doctor.
We feel paying your doctor directly can eliminate cost confusion. Perhaps you have received a medical bill from your doctor’s office you weren’t expecting and didn’t understand why you were being charged for that service. We want you to know the cost of your care upfront, without confusing and untimely fees.
You can contact your doctor by phone, email, or text, and enjoy same-day or next-day appointments with minimal wait times.
This direct relationship allows us to provide longer visits and truly tailored care, without the time constraints and paperwork that often come with traditional insurance-based practices.
Our goal is to provide our community with great primary care, where the doctor-patient relationship is highly valued. Together, we can enjoy primary care that is affordable and uncomplicated.
